Patterns and sequencing and basic addition and subtraction should follow on from counting and number recognition. By the time your child is starting kindergarten or school, they should be able to count to 20 with ease, write numbers, do simple addition sums, and have some understanding of patterns and sequences. Even if they are attending preschool, extra practice at home will help them improve their math.
One of the reasons that games are so useful at a baby shower is they are great small time fillers. For example you want filler for that awkward time between the first guest arriving and the rest of the guests arriving. Often one or two of the guests that come early have to sit around and twiddle there thumbs and if they do not already know each other this can be really painful to watch and crash your party before it ever gets started. Elementary school teachers know that to keep people paying attention you need some quick activity to draw them in and get them involved. You also want some games at your disposal that are just in case have an extra few minute types of games. You do not want to expend a ton of effort or money on these extra games but boy are they handy if the food arrives late or there is some other catastrophe that needs to be taken care of. Simply hand the guests one of these pre-made activities and then you can be free to take care of whatever might arise.
Children who struggle in a traditional learning environment can also get great benefit from digital learning games. Interactive platforms provide a fun way to learn without fear of failure and give rewards that are in line with what is being learned. Through games, your child can gain the confidence he or she needs to approach math concepts that once seemed impossible. This confidence helps improve school performance and can lead to more positive participation in a classroom environment. Unlike basic school curriculum, digital learning games can be designed to move at your child has pace. Many games feature levels that build upon each other, so your child does not have to sit through lessons that he or she has already mastered. Instead, each level of the game increases in difficulty depending on how well certain ideas have been grasped. This creates a custom learning environment catered to the pace your child feels comfortable with. Without the stress of worrying about being left behind or the boredom that can result from having to wait to move on, kids can work at the speed they prefer and learn in a way that is just right for them.
